Lehigh Valley Hospital   LVH started as Allentown Hospital in 1899. It is one of the largest and oldest licensed teaching hospitals in Pennsylvania.

Sacred Heart Hospital   A 243 bed acute care facility with 20 skilled nursing beds located in the center of Allentown, the Lehigh Valley's largest city.

St. Luke's Hospital   St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network is the region's most nationally honored integrated health care network and is comprised of tertiary and acute care, non-profit hospitals, more than 1,400 physicians and numerous other related health organizations.

Lehigh County Dept of Human Resources  Adult and aging service, children and youth service, illness and wellness services available thru the Lehigh County Department of Human Resources.

Accessible PA  Information on a variety of programs and services for Pennsylvanians with disabilities as well as their families and support providers.

American Heart Assoc.  This site is filled with information. It has everything from warning signs of heart attack and stroke to exercise and nutrition and risk awareness.

American Lung Assoc.  The Associations site contains information about fighting lung disease, advocacy information and statistics. Also contains an alphabetical listing of types of lung disease to provide you with current and accurate information.

Arthritis Foundation   The foundation works to support those in finding a cure and prevention of arthritis and to improve the quality of life for those affected by arthritis. This web page also has a section on advocacy and can help locate local support groups.

Alzheimer's Association  The site covers basic information about the Alzheimer's Association and can link you to a local chapter that provides programs and services to persons with Alzheimer's, their families, caregivers and health care professionals.

Entrez PubMed  PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 15 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's.

KidsPeace  KidsPeace is a private, not-for-profit charity dedicated to serving the critical behavioral and mental health needs of children, preadolescents and teens.

Medicare Hotline   The official federal Medicare website, with useful information for people with Medicare and anyone involved in helping them with their health care decisions. The site provides customized comparative information about Medicare+Choice plans, nursing homes, supplemental insurance policies for people with Medicare, local events where Medicare is the topic, and resources for additional information.

National Council on Aging  This organization provides information on current issues that affect older adults. The site also includes areas on "Aging Advocacy" and "Workforce Development" for older persons.

National Family Caregiver Assoc.  National Family Caregiver Association's website is to educate, support, empower and speak up for caregivers.

Nursing Home Directory  Click on the County in Pennsylvania to search for nursing homes licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Click to read the inspection results on each nursing home.

PA Department of Health    The Department of Health has the duty and power to protect the health of the people. It has authority to enforce all statutes pertaining to public health for the prevention and suppression of disease and injury.

PA Dept of Health - School Program   The School Health Program facilitates the healthy growth and development of children of school age in Pennsylvania. The School Health Program serves all children of school age attending public and non-public schools in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition & Activity   Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition and Activity (PANA) is a statewide organization supported by a coalition of more than 500 groups, working to promote policies and environments that support healthy eating and activity.

Pennsylvania Dietetic Association   The Pennsylvania Dietetic Association, a chapter of the American Dietetic Association, is the advocate of the dietetics profession serving the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health and well being.

Today's Caregiver Magazine  Contains articles providing information to caregivers. Articles range from Alzheimers Disease to Depression to Legal Issues.
