New books are NOT available through InterLibrary Loan but will be considered for purchase as part of our collection.

InterLibrary Loans:

InterLibrary Loans will be processed as soon as possible but receipt of your request is dependent on the availability and location of the lending library. Please submit your request using the electronic "InterLibrary Loan Request" form.  If you prefer to fill out a paper copy and bring it to the library during you next visit, you can download and print a copy of the request form.  Lower Macungie Library InterLibrary Loan service is available to our home library patrons only.

You will be contacted if there are any delivery issues. Upon receipt of your request, you will be notified via phone or email. All items must be picked up within three days of notification. Unclaimed media will be returned after that date and a $1.00 charge per item will be applied to your account. If you are unavailable for pickup, please notify us when making your request. Note: Due dates are at the discretion of the lending library.

InterLibrary Loans are not subject for renewal. Please return your items on time in order to keep our library in good standing with the lending libraries.

There will be charges for photocopy requests. You will be notified for approval before your request is processed.

Purchase Requests:

Books requested for addition to the collection will be reviewed and ordered based on availability and the Lower Macungie Library Collection Development Policy. Fill out the "Purchase Request" form (Insert form link for attached form). By indicating on the form, if we are unable to purchase, your item will be handled as a InterLibrary Loan. Please allow six to eight weeks for processing. You will be notified when your selection, if purchased, is available for checkout.
