September 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
September is World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise dementia awareness and challenge the stigma that persists around dementia. This year’s theme is Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s is all about the power of knowledge. During the campaign, we are shining a light on the warning signs of dementia and the importance of a timely diagnosis.
Dementia is a serious health issue and one of the biggest health and social care crises of this century. Throughout the program speakers Laurie Brey and Colleen McCabe from Arden Courts of Allentown will share their experiences and information for caregivers (spouses, children, grandchildren etc.) about treatment, care, and support of people with dementia. Also, tips to keep the brain active and memory sharp over time will be shared with attendees.
Due to forecasted rain, this event will take place on Zoom (the Zoom link will be emailed the day of the program).
Registration is required.
