Summer Teen Library Volunteer Program Information
Thank you for your interest in our Summer Teen Library Volunteer program for Summer 2019!
Volunteering at the Lower Macungie Library is an excellent way for you to gain valuable work experience, earn community service hours, and support your local library. Our Summer Teen Library Volunteer program runs June 17 – August 17, 2019, and we ask for a commitment of at least six 2-hour shifts during this time period. A brief interview is required for all applicants. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, May 28 from 4:00-6:00 pm. Please register for an interview. In addition, a 2-hour volunteer orientation training is also required. Please plan to attend one of the following meetings:
- Saturday, June 1 – 1:00-3:00 pm
- Monday, June 3 – 6-8 pm
Summer Teen Library Volunteers have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Please review the Summer Teen Library Volunteer Position Description and evaluate if you meet the requirements and are able to accept the responsibilities and duties of the position. If you would like to apply for a volunteer position, please complete your application by Wednesday, May 22, 2019. If applying online, you will also need to bring a signed Teen Volunteer Permission Form for Online Applicants 2019 to the library no later than your interview on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
If you have any questions, please email Youth Services Director Lisa Underwood at email@example.com. I look forward to working with you this summer!
