Roald Dahl
Unfortunately, you may have heard the news that the actor Gene Wilder passed away this week. Wilder is perhaps most known for his role as the iconic “Willy Wonka” in the 1971 movie. As you may also know, the movie is based upon Roald Dahl’s most well-known book, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” While the news of Wilder’s death is definitely sad, it is interesting though that Dahl’s 100th birthday, if he were still alive, is coming up on September 13th. Take some time to read some of Dahl’s books here at the library, or re-read one that you may haven’t read since school!
As always, you can read these books as a physical book, or as an electronic version through OverDrive or Hoopla. If you’re in the mood for a movie, check out one of Gene Wilder’s movies, or a film adaption of one of Roald Dahl’s many books!
