The New York Times Book Review has been published as a weekly supplement to The New York Times since 1896. “It’s one of the most influential and widely read book review publications in the industry.” It was just announced last week that after serving as chief book critic of The New York Times that Michiko Kakutani has stepped down. In honor of her reign, the Times published this article which is a compilation of the highlights of Kakutani’s reviews.
